Our Team

M. Keith Behrens, PE

​

M. Keith Behrens has been and executive and manager on projects for over 20 years.   He is a proven leader in development and construction with a background in engineering and technology.   He serves as the leader of BLG and will play a key role in defining the programs, projects and activities that align with the mission and goals for the clients BLG serves.    His experience in the management of large-scale development and construction projects, allows him to quickly evaluate the needs of stakeholders, define a scope, and determine a path for project success.  Quality and team member performance fall under his authority as well as managing the long-term budget and operating plan for the each project.    He will also play a 

leadership role in evaluating project scope and vision and will help to ensure that each project remains on-time and within budget.

Keith is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and began his career with WSBC Civil Engineers, Inc. in Houston in 1994.    He gained valuable engineering, technology and business experience with RG Miller Engineers, Inc. and an internet consulting company before taking on the role of manager at McGuyer Homebuilders, Inc.    His key leadership roles were serving as a Vice President for Newland Communities, the nation’s largest private developer of planned residential and urban mixed-use communities in the United States and leading development efforts for Aliana Development, a Houston based company specializing in master planned communities.    He established Devlan Group, Inc in 2013 which evolved into BLG this year.   

 

Keith is a past board member for the Brenham Country Club from 2016-1018 and is currently a serving on the Brenham Maifest Board as VP of Operations, City of Brenham Planning and Zoning as Chairman and on the City of Brenham Comprehensive Plan committee.    He has previously served as a Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce Board Member, a Literacy Council of Fort Bend County Board Member.    He also has love for the outdoors and all things involving Texas A&M University.   When he has some down time, you can usually find him on the golf course.

Parke Patterson

Parke Patterson applies more than 30 years of land development and real estate project management experience as a Development Partner for Behrens Land Group (BLG) projects. Parke established his experience through the management of real estate project developments across the United States including Texas, California (San Francisco Bay area), North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida.

His experience includes entitling and acquiring land for the development of single family, multi-family and mixed-use  

​

communities.  Most notably Terraces on Memorial, a gated community in West Houston that boasts a lake, walking trail, fountains, and a mix of 1-story and 2-story homes, patio homes, and townhomes. Parke was also instrumental in the completion of Walden on Lake Houston, a 750 acre, master-planned development located northeast of downtown Houston in Humble, Texas.  His comprehensive experience also includes partnership on multi-family development projects located in downtown Houston and the Eagle Ford Shale oilfield market in South Texas.

 

Parke was recognized in 2005 with business partner, Jim Box for contributions made to the Houston development industry through receipt of the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) “Developer of the Year” award.  Parke also served as the 2016 GHBA President.  His breadth of knowledge about Houston’s housing and land development market augments the BLG team and reinforces the depth of experience that our team brings to development projects.

Parke has conducted numerous public education seminars on special district financing tools, and developed presentations for project approvals. He also enjoyed serving as a board member and President of HomeAid Houston, a non-profit dedicated to providing housing for the homeless in the Houston area.

Kimberley S. Behrens

Kimberley Behrens has partnered with clients to deliver strategic organizational solutions for more than 20 years.  She applies this experience and passion in managing operations for BLG.   She has an extensive understanding of stakeholder impact on project success and excels at establishing trustworthy and effective relationships with project stakeholders. Her global engagement experience allows her to quickly assess change readiness and cultural considerations to create “fit for purpose” solutions for BLG clients.  

Kimberley earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University and began her career with Accenture in 1994 as a project consultant.  Throughout her career, she has helped clients in the private and public sector improve organizational performance and navigate the change associated with program implementations.  Most recently, she managed the implementation of educational and organizational programs for a US based energy company in Mozambique, Africa. This project involved extensive needs assessment and gap identification in order to recommend the highest value, lowest cost programs for the client. Behrens understands the importance of aligning program solutions with organizational goals and applies this approach in all of her projects.


Kimberley is actively involved with the Brenham Maifest and Brenham Junior High PTO and has participated in planning the Washington County Community Thanksgiving Meal since its inception.  She has served as a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County since 2010. She served as a member of the Volunteer Services Council for Brenham State Supported Living Center and chaired the Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) at First United Methodist church of Brenham.
